Starting October 8th, New York Music School’s new CENTER STAGE Performing Arts Venue will be offering Studio Acting Classes with Teaching Artist and Acting Coach Abe Acay. With over 25 years of acting experience, Mr. Acay has been teaching and coaching throughout South Florida, Pennsylvania, New York City & Los Angeles.

INTRODUCTION TO STUDIO ACTING CLASS
“Young Actors” Ages 8-12. Classes meet Saturdays 11:00-12:00
“Teenage Actors” Ages 13-18. Classes meet Saturdays 12:15-1:15

Center Stage – Acting and Stage Presence
The first series of classes will focus on acting along with a range of topics including preparation for auditions,
cold readings, improvisation, character development and script analysis. Multiple topics will be covered per class with one on one and group exercises.
Targets and Goal:
- Students gaining comfortable accessing emotional motivation through affective memory to advance a scene.
- Learn to develop story and character during rehearsal.
- Develop a strong foundation for stage presence and public speaking.
